Need help badly

I have a 1997 Ford F150 4X4 automatic trans with a 4.6L v8 and the 8th digit in my vin is W. I have 268000 miles on the motor and its dying. can anyone tell me if I can use a 96 or 98 Mustang GT 4.6 litre engine block and heads with my original intake, accessories, and exhaust and my original trans? I can buy the 98 or 96 GT motors a lot cheaper than a higher mileage F150 4.6L engine out of a W vin truck.

For info on your question about swapping parts on your 1997 Ford F150 use the 1997 - 2003 F150 forum: 1997 - 2003 F150 - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
Another forum that maybe of interest to you is your local NJ chapter: New Jersey Chapter - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

thank you for your suggestions and I will do that next time. I already found a lot of answers to my questions reading in this forum and other forums. Once again thank you very much.
