I beam casting numbers

I wanted to ask if anyone knew how about finding out the year and model on the front end of my truck. The casting # on the front I beam is

D5TA-8-GA 74

I have tried searching the web but no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome to FTE

This info can only be found in the 1973/79 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog.

D5TZ3006A .. Right I-Beam / Marked: D5TA-8-GA or D5TA-3008-GA.

Fits: 1975/79 F100/150 / 1975/79 F250 Regular Cab with a GVW of 6200 or 6900 lbs.

My question is: What is the left side ID number?

For both I-Beams to have the same application, the left side (D5TZ3007A) will be marked: D5TA-9-GA or D5TA-3009-GA.

Thank you for the info! This is very helpful. I do not know what the number on the left represents but I can take a picture later today. Thanks again.

Does your truck have disc brakes on the front?

Wow been a while. Now have only oner FE powered bump side. 68 swb. think I found what i was looking for here. Correct me if I'm wrong. With these casting #s the spindle (disc) caliper, rotor, bearings seals etc for a 2wd application will all be the same 75-79. Just had the spindles bushed need new rotors bearing calipers etc... want to do this once. Joe, Bill hope your alive and well. Say hello amigos. Back in TX now making the best of the bipolar weather!!!
