97 Ford F350 with abs. Today the abs light starts blinking. I feel the brakes, they seem fine. I stop the vehicle and shut off the engine. Then start the engine, the abs light is still blinking. I try to put the shifter in drive, it won't go. I press on the brake pedal harder and try to shift, it still won't go.
Thanks guys. I found a blown fuse number 13 I believe a 15 amp. I replaced it with the only fuse I had available a 25 amp and it blew. Now I need to find the reason for blowing the fuse. Any ideas???

It's not confusing to me. What I am attempting is to solicite comments/advise from a larger cross section of the population on this site. For example, some people may regularly read "clutch, transmission, differential, axle and transfer case" but not visit "Brakes, Steering, Suspension, Tires, & Wheels".
I found the problem. The mason dump has those bolt on rear brake/signal lights. The one on the passanger side had a wire come off the contact to the bulb. This was frayed and rubbing on the grounding plate which blew the fuse. This also took out the #13 fuse and this caused the ABS light to blink in the dash. All this stuff locked my automatic shifter in park.
