OD light blinking

98 f150 4.6 4x4 Xcab. Today, after riding down the road for bout 30 min, my OD light started blinking. Anyone know why i does that? Ive heard that it kinda acts like a check engine light for your tranny. Any help would be awesome.

Get it scanned by someone with a decent scanner.

Without a fault code, you'd might as well fart into a hurricane.

If the fault code is serious enough it will cause the OD light to blink on and off. I had a spark plug misfire that got bad enough for the OD light to flash. I'd make sure that your check engine light is connected, or not burned out since the two typically go together.
