Transmission woes
Forgive me for asking about a 57 Ford transmission on this forum, but you guys are a lot more active than the ones on the 57 Ford site I frequent.
Anyway, the 3-speed/overdrive tranny in my 57 Ranchero won't stay in 1st gear. As soon as I have any momentum it pops out of 1st rather abruptly. I replaced the bushings on the shift rods (column shift) and adjusted the rods but it still pops out. Any ideas on what could be causing this?
