Brake Question
The brake warning light is on. I cant find any leaks and the fluid isnt low. What does this mean? The brakes need some attention- Stepping on the brakes medium hard will cause the whole truck to shudder but only at about 20 to 15 mph. I checked one of the rear brakes when I was swapping out the BALD tire- one of the pads was pretty thin but the other looked okay. Parking brake pad? Park brake doesnt work worth a hoot either.

I would start with the rear brakes. I would take the rear drums and have them turned to the same diameter, then I would put new shoes on while making sure all the adjusting parts are clean and working properly. You need to be carefull and make sure all parts are in good condition and are in the correct position. Find a good drawing on this.
Then adjust them to spec. (very important)
If done right, this should cure the parking brake problem and will probably take care of the warning light if there isn't any other problems.

you may have some air in the lines, if your parking brake isn't working (assuming everything is hooked up in the rear brakes) I would check out the cables from the parking brake pedal to the wheels, sometimes the cable rusts inside the housing, with the truck shuddering I would check the front brakes for wear and the rotor for cracks
