I ran my code tester on my '91 300 six. This is what I got
KOEO
114 Air Charge temp higher/lower than expected
116 Engine coolant temp low (Engine not fully warmed up?)
553 Air Management 2 Failure
565 Canister Purge solenoid circuit failure
KOER
116 ECT low
172 HEGO sensor fault/lean
213 Spout circuit open
My CEL comes on after 5 miles and stays on after that. My gas mileage isn't that good (12-14 highway with 3.08s and OD) and there is NO power above 2500 RPM, the engine just totally quits pulling.
I did replace O2 about 5000 miles ago.
I don't have factory exhaust- looking for a set of cats- have been running glasspacks and its WAY too loud.
Any ideas on how to fix or whats causing these codes would be great.
The Spout code is probably the most important, if the spout plug is missing or faulty and the circuit is open the computer will not apply any advance and the motor will be way down on power. Another way to get this code is if the wrong TFI module is on the motor, should be a grey one I think not a black one.
This is where your spout connector should be.
This is the spout connector.
This is what it looks like plugged in.
Without it plugged in your EFI cannot sense to advance your timing under load.
