Changing to after market fuel pump help!!!!!

i have a veggie oil conversion done on my 7.3L excursion. a long story short i got veggie iol into my diesel tank which burned out my stock pump. i have a fass pump on my veggie side and i was told to put a fass pump on my diesel side incase this happens again.
the instructions are not very clear and i dont see the fuel lines on the tank?
do i have to drop the tank to seethem?
thank you for your time any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The fuel lines do come out of the top of the tank, but they run over to the drivers side frame rail. Your factory fuel pump is mounted on the frame rail under the drivers seat. Since i'm guessing you'll want to remove the bad OEM pump from the lines, why not just tie your FASS in there?

changing oem fuel pump

thank you for your reply, i am going to put the fass pump right near wear the ford pump is but the instructions arent very good, i think i have it figured out. at first i thought i had to tap into the lines near the tank but now i think i just have to use the lines near the old pump. thanx again for any thoughts

I've never installed a FASS, and I do tend to be simple minded, but if we have a fuel line that let's say is 15' long, what difference does it make where along the line I put the pump as long as it's somewhere between the tank and engine? I can't see how moving the FASS just a few feet forward will hurt anything.

Again, no experience with the FASS, but I'll assume you need some electrical power, which just so happens to be available at the location of the OEM pump location as well. Seems like a win - win to me.
