My 360 has an iron C6AE 4 bbl intake on it from a late 60's thunderbird, and a holley 600 cfm carb that is 11 years old. I found an Edelbrock F427 aluminum intake for sale for $175. Is it worth the $175 since I already have a 4 bbl intake? Should I save my pennies and buy a different intake or just stick with what I have? I also have a brand new Edelbrock 600 cfm. What intake/carb combo should I go with?
i would stick with the intake you already have. the aftermarket ones are much lighter, but thats a flea on a rhino's butt. it would be like the difference between rosie odonel carrying or not carrying a purse. still a huge broad! plus now you'd have to worry about making sure the back gasket doesnt move or leak on you. and really, how many more horsepower is it going to get you? i am thinking not that much.
