Well I finally got that transmission that I got a few weeks back installed and man o man is it nice to have reverse working propely again. The truck builds boost much faster now that the tranny isn't slipping horribly, it was so bad that even after about 6 hrs of sitting up on the lift the torque convertor was still almost to hot to handle with bare hands. The swap went quite smoothly and I even got to mod my firewall for some more clearence for the dp and I also decided that when it's turbo time the tranny is comin back out cuz the amount of room that is gained is almost unbelievable haha. Now on to the questions, is there a way to make the reverse ingage faster? When I shift into reverse is takes about .5-1second to engage and then it goes. I have my accumulator body modded but I got it off a used 4r100 from work and I'm not sure if it was a gasser or not, all the other gears work awsome and shift perfect just reverse is slower than I would like. And my second question is at about 60-65 mph I now have a vibration(approx 2300rpm) and if I speed up it seems to go away and I do feel it at all around town. I sinched all the convertor nuts up and then tightened them down good with loc-tite. Any insight would be great. And sorry for the lenghty post.
I'm still convinced that its that damn acumulator body, its gotta be drilled in the wrong spot or somthing, that would expxlain the slow reverse engagment and a low line pressure issue assuming that is the vibration that bill had mentioned on the slow pressue

If the line is low to begin with you will have reverse issues.
I would look into the low line first!!! That trans will not last
very long if the line is low!
It's not slow. Jump in any superduty and it's exactly the same but it's slower than I want. I want to put it in reverse and have it feel like drive, engages almost immidiatly. I guess I kinda just being picky. But I am a little consernd about the vibration. Any ideas on that?
