Well I know here in AK the diesel guys run winter blend (probably #1) thru the winter as well as standadine (sp) addative with EVERY fill up. As far as idle control units, there are lots of different ones out there, as long as you have one. And a cold front for the grill wouldn't hurt. As well as a block heater, oil pan heater and pluging in on cold nights SHOULD get you thru the winter. Where are you living?

also for like $38 i think, you can get a 203* thermostat. if yours is bad.
