Wicked Deal!
I thought that was good deal, but decided to check out what they were worth online and figured I could go back and get one.
Turns out they are a fair bit more everywhere else, but put it off and missed the boat on that deal....
Well, while I was at Costco the other day, I was doing the usual when I spotted the same hoist on a flat cart. I looked around and saw no others. The box had been torn open at one end though and it looked like it had been moved a few times. I found a clerk and asked him to check if they had any more in stock. He came back and said it was the only one and that it had been reduced to $99.99...

S.O.L.D.
Put it together and only one nut missing. Can't beat that deal!
I was too lazy to put the legs down for the pic or extend the boom, but there she sits with leveler

Just want to mention that they were never advertised on Costco's website. They did and still show the engine stand...but oddly, I have never seen that in the store. Even at the original price of $168 I was dumb not to jump on it....but as it turns out, I saved money buy not buying it impulsively.
If you keep your eyes open...you can find some really good deals at Costco from time to time.
I wanted to do compression tests before I pulled the engine on my Bronk, but since I am pulling it apart, I can visually check things and also I figured I could do a leakdown test with the engine out, which will not only show me if there is a problem, but where the problem lies...and I can do it in the comfort of my shop.
Now I need to go out and get a stand.....I'll probably pay almost as much for the stand as I did for the hoist.
Thanks for looking guys!
...and sorry for the crappy pic. The batteries were dead in my camera, so I used my phone which has no flash and is only a 2 mp.p.s.
Todd....glad to see you swapped out the engine and kept that rig on the road!
