I am running a 6" lift with 37" Toyo M/T's I currently have a BDS Dual Steering Stabilizer and still feel wobble and a "loose" feeling in my steering especially when hitting dips, etc in the road.
I feel about 75% confident & safe driving my truck, but would NOT let my wife and kids in the truck as it steers right now.
My questions are:
1) Can I keep the BDS Stabilizer kit and maybe just buy "tighter" shock absorbers to replace the old ones with? If so, which brand and model would you recommnd??
2) If I have to buy a whole new dual steering stabilizer kit, I would rather not buy BDS and what would you recommend?
I know it's not an answer to your question, but I am about to put 37's on my 06 and want to know what I NEED for a steering stablizer. It seems that everyone says duals. But with that can you do the $100 setup with white stabilizers or go with something higher end "monotube gas". We can spend from 100 to over 700. What is needed for our trucks to drive right with out spending more and not getting any better performance. Hope this adds to your post and is not meant to highjack.
Wait a sec! Are the adjusting shafts supposed to be connected at the center bracket with the non-adjustable ends on the outside brackets, or are the adjusting shafts supposed to be facing outward, with the non-adjustable facing out?
I was wanting to know (and I think this is what the original poster wanted too) is this going to ride better than the kit with less expensive white stablizers. And is spending more for more expensive stabilizers (fox, king) going to provide a better ride?

I would be very surprised if anyone on this forum could tell you from actual experience the difference in ride/steering quality using the white, Bilstein, Fox, and King steering stabilizers. Who has the money to try all four brands... What is logical to assume is that "you get what you pay for" in anything that you purchase. Therefore, the important questions are where do you need/want to be on the pecking order of quality and what is your budget for this upgrade?
Needs - The OP is expressed concern for the safety of his family. Now that's a pretty serious need and should be a significant factor in deciding on which SS kit to purchase. What are your needs?
Wants - This is completely subjective and can only be determined by you. There is no right or wrong answer here... but is definitely related to your budget.
Budget - Depending on your needs and wants. Most people will adjust their budget accordingly.
Now, if you want to know where I am in terms of needs, wants, and budget, I'll be happy to express my position. Otherwise, it is a personal choice for you and your family.
Thanks for the answer, I was hoping to find someone who had tried some different setups. For example bought one and up graded to another, and found it to be better worse or the same. But oh, well.
I went ahead and ordered the one you recommended from Top Gun. Thanks again and I hope this helped Samurai as well.

I think that you will happy with the TGC kit. If I were not using a Mag-Hytec front differential cover, I would order the TGC kit as well. It seems to be the best "bang for the buck" on the market... IMO.
Once installed, let us know what you think of the TGC kit!
I have the Pro Comp myself, which my 4 Wheel Parts guy told me is on par with the Skyjacker kits, which are a very well regarded kit. Once installed it works fine, but the instructions are seriously horrible. And I mean beyond horrible. They kept referring to a tie rod as a drag link, gave mis-ordered steps, and the u-bolts needed to mount the center plate on the tie rod itself needed to be bent with a torch and vise to fit. If I had to do it again, I would have either gone with a Skyjacker or Rough Country kit, purely for a better first time installation. The product itself works great though.
I will let you know what I think about the TGC Kit with bilstien stabilizers. It will be going on in a few weeks at the same time as my Icon 7" lift with the 4 link also ordered form TGC for a great price (don't know if it is polite to talk about $$'s)
If anyone is interested, TGC was able to sell me the painted bracketry (vice powdercoated) with the bilstiens and save a few more bucks. The bilstein's normally come with powdercoat and the white stabilizers with black paint, again I am taking about the TGC kit.

Cool! Definitely post pics of both the TGC kit and the 7" Icon lift kit. I'm seriously looking that the same (4.5" or 7") Icon lift kit for my truck. I would like to know your impressions of the quality and appearance of the Icon lift kit.
