hello, i was driving to work today , early am. and very foggy, went to flip the brights on and they came on and then i lost all head lights, i pulled off the side of the road and all of a sudden they came back on, it did this the rest of the way to work. can any one steer me in the right direction for a fix on this one thanks, its a 97 f350 7.3 xlt, i cant take a chance diving it to work til i fix it, thanks agin for any help.
thanks,do i need to replace the dimer lever on the steering column also and the light switch on the dash along with the relays. thanks for the help, i cant seem to find a repair manual for this 97 with a 7.3 powerstroke ,the parts places around here say they dont even show it in there books to order for the f350 diesel. thanks.
I did not have any shorts, and had stock wattage bulbs but my switch burned up anyway. I replaced the connector and switch. The new switches would last a while and then start blinking.
I just put relays in and I haven't had problems since. The lights are a LOT brighter too.
