My 2001 EB is riding strange. It has air on all 4 corners. No air leaks - no compressor problem - ride height adjusts as it supposed to. When moving over anything that flexes the front suspension rather hard it seems as if it's got NO front shocks and seems as if the front end is does a circle - counterclockwise - shocks (all 4) are a few months old. If the road rolls either way it seems to rebound hard. Wife's SUV doesn't do it. I realize it's a heavy, pampered kind of vehicle, but it's not right. Steering is tight, but it has a sloppy reaction sometimes sends me for a zipper ride down the side of the highway. Got cut off the other day and simply swapped lanes with the vehicle, but I went much further left than I'd input or expected.
OK - New shocks, new lower *****, got the upgraded sway bar links, tires are at about 60% wear.
I've wondered if I have the sway links too tight causing the reaction of one side to tranfer to the other.
Fellas, help me out here, It's driving me nutz.
Suggestions???
The only thing I can think of is your alignment may be off. It can cause your vehicle to drift, especially at higher speeds, but if it is that bad, you should also notice it when braking too. It's worth looking into. Maybe you didn't purchase the right shocks either? ????
thanks 99, but to my knowledge there's only 1 air shock available for this. The Monroe .. and it's too soft for my taste. I've wondered if a "helper shock" might be installed if possible. That may stiffen things a bit.
