96 e4od in a 90 2wd
so the guy stopped by about 10 mins ago with the 92 tranny and it wasn't an e4od. i think it was an AOD. It was super small. That only leaves me with the 96 tranny. I know that the solenoid packs are different. So do I have to switch the pack back to the 90 version. Also I know that the electrical connections are different. Do I have to rewire stuff? I already updated the mlps sensor on my 90 and repinned the connector. Lastly as I mentioned b4, I know the vss in the rear of the tranny on the 90 is a mechanical and the 96 is a digital. I have heard of ways to adapt to this. If someone would chime in on this vss question specifically it would be a huge help. I want to get this 96 tranny if it will work but it is on craigslist so it may be gone tomorrow! (E4od's don't last long in WI) Will this swap even work between a 96 e4od in to a 90 truck?
