I started getting a vibration when I decelerate.I notice it mainly in the floor board, seat and steering wheel. When I accelerate,it stops. I checked the u-joints,they are ok. The truck is an '02 with warn locking hubs, which are in the free position. Could it be a tire problem? I don't get any clunking when I put the trans in reverse, and get no noise or vibration when accelerating. As soon as I take my foot off the pedal,it starts.
How did you check your u-joints? When I changed mine out they were tight when I grabbed ahold of them, but when I took them out they were rusted and the needle bearings were shot.
Yes.I did put it in neutral and I still had the same amount of vibration. I'm also getting a squeeking noise coming from the front right wheel. Could this be related?
Im going to say wheel bearing... Jack up the front of your truck, put a pry bar in your rim and see if it has up and down play. If so have a friend move it up and down for you and look behind the wheel and see if the play is at the wheel hub assembly.
