I have recently picked up a weird kind of vibration/hum whenever I get up to about 50mph and all the way through 80. It is there when I'm accelerating, decelerating, and cruising at a consistent speed. It sounds like it's coming from the front drivers side.
I jacked the front wheels up last night to check for play in the wheel bearings but they seemed solid. I am pretty sure my front U-joints are going out (front wheels bind up in 4x4), so I'm going to have the shop see if they can pin point where this noise is coming from. Could the U-joints be making this noise?
It seems like I picked this up soon after I got my V/B swap done, and I'm wondering if something changed to cause it after the swap. Do you guys have any ideas what this could be?
