Drone noise

So it may be just me because I'm listening to my truck carefully for any noises out of the ordinary that may indicate problems but it seems my truck has a drone noise or a loud hum when under load.
I'm wondering if it's the exhaust leaning up against something or a bearing but I think I may have ruled out bearing because when I push the clutch in and idle down the road at 70 mph and slowing down all i hear is road noise and the tireds humming on the concrete.

I hear the noise most of the time between 1800 and 2500 rpm and when going down the hwy at 58mph @ 1800 rpm you can really hear it but not if going down hill.

Any thoughts? Tomorrow (Today after bed) I'll put the front of the truck up on a jack and inspect the front for play in the wheel bearings.

I had a similar drone after I took the muffler out and did the 6637 intake. I just thought it was an intake drone, but when I started towing heavy I really noticed it and was hard hear the radio and carry on a conversation. I installed an Aero Turbine 4040 when I put on the 4" exhaust and the drone went away. I still get the intake noise from the 6637, but it is not an unbearable sound after I got rid of the exhaust drone.
On a side note, when I put in the Aero Turbine the turbo surge/stall almost completely went away. When going East over 4th of July pass at 65 mph and just under 2000 rpms the turbo would start to stall so bad I would have to shift down and get the rpms over 2300 to maintain speed. Now I leave the cruise on and go right over at 65 mph and no turbo stall.

Well I suspected the axhaust as the cause of the problem and I'll bookmark that little guy that you talked about and see about getting one when Money permits and I have my 4" exhaust. The drone noise is anoying but I'll deal with it until I can upgrade the exhaust

The 6637 is a little annoying when hauling. My work truck is noisy with or without it. If you don't find a solution, perhaps a cold air box might be in the works, some guys on here have made their own. Or an aftermarket CAI system might be in order. No K&N though.
