will not accelerate, white smoke
I had to have my truck towed this evening. I was driving up a steep mountain and toward the top the motor started stumbling and I noticed lots of white smoke. It stopped and I made it to the top. A few minutes later it did it again. When I would push the gas it would just stumble with lots of smoke. I would let off the gas and it would idle fine. I had to pull over and could not get the motor to accelerate. I shut it off and it cranked and idled fine, but would not accelerate. I ended up having it towed to the dealership this evening. Does this sound like a injector or EGR problem. This is a 2005 with 38,000 miles. Fuel filters changed every 15,000. I have noticed some white smoke at startup within the last 2 weeks.
