One Weekend in SCIO!

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to thank EVERYONE for the warm welcome and hospitality that I received in SCIO, Oregon this past weekend. Clay and team were wonderful and extremely helpful. I had a great time (can't say so much for my wife, but she came around in the end). It was nice to meet everyone and learn as much as I did.

Thanks again everyone!

That was a good time. Glad you made it home ok. How is 6th gear?

What is next on the list...

Well, I still have the 6th gear problems, all went well on the way home. I have nothing more to do to the truck at this point, I feel that I have already crossed the line with power, so I don't want to go any further.

Check this post out for my Southbend Experience:

I had a blast in Scio. Thanks to Mark and his family for hosting us. Thanks to Clay and Mrs. Riffraff for running the event. And thanks to everybody else for all the help in getting the stubborn truck to start again after all was re-installed. Ed, thanks for the superb survising skills and for knocking a few back with me. Thanks to Nick, Steven and Tom for all the troubleshooting with that damn sensor! Thanks to the women for the awesome BBQ and fricken awesome deserts! All in all, it was great to meet everyone that I did.

When I was younger, I did some sport-compact drag racing. I gave it up when my 3rd child was born. Now that I have 7 kids, I needed an outlet. That and my Excursion is so dang consistent that its perfect for bracket racing.

And thanks for disconnecting your driveshaft so we could push your truck further into the shop so I didn't have to replace my manifolds in the rain.

I agree 100%! I had a great time in Scio. I learned so much. I think my PMS is getting worse, I drove 15+ hours one way just to play with my truck (check the updated signature line!). Can't believe how helpful the members of FTE are. I just blinked and my turbo was out. After seeing the work it takes to make the switch on the up-pipes, I am so happy I made the trip. You guys totally rock!!

Great times!! It was a pleasure to get together and put faces to all of you. I'm in Chicago tonight but was hoping some of you would post so I knew everyone made it home safely. Look forward to seeing all of you again.
