Put the single bottom plow on the farmall and plowed today. Also plowed single furrows about 2 " deep and about 100' long and threw all my black walnuts in them and covered them up. Did this along some of the property lines. Used 2 five gallon buckets full!
Thanks but it was one of the worst weekends I've had
Cliff notes ,
Wrecked got hurt, on Sat. a bit bruised and sore
got up this morning at the track, packed and ready to go the trailer towing testing N. of Columbus
Karting buddy set himself and the RV on fire.
Careflight for him , his one leg is in bad shape
the fire did get put out in the RV just in time but its still a loss for the smoke damage
and my lips are a bit burnt from the fire and smoke..nothing bad but still a little tender
Sorry about your buddy and the rv fire.....I just got home from a fine trip...and the leaves look awesome.
Got alot to get done now.....and the weather sure is crappy......N.E.OHIO!!!

Need to install the plows on the 2 case tractors and organize the hot rod shop.

Not a good day..
Damn...that's awful!!! Good thoughts for you and your buddy for a swift and complete recovery!!!
thanks Guys for the kind words...he is doing okay now..but we had a bit of a scare..he a had a bad first night...he threw up and a had stopped breathing briefly at about two in the morning , they seen he was turning blue...they gave him something to counter react the drugs and got him breathing again...i think the morphine was the issue..
but the good news is that he still has his hair follicles on his legs..which basically means that they might not have to do skin crafts and he should heal a lot quicker without any surgery .. still a long road to go down yet..
and it gets better..my brother just called me and said he was in a roll over accident on friday on his way to work, some guy pulled out in front of him and hit him, flipped the work van over on its side...he's okay , but got some bumps and bruises and a very sore neck/back..
Dang this is just too much fun for any one person to have...
With this weather so cold now....hate to even do anything outside. I should have stayed on the road.......My leaves will have to wait....and usually they are all done by Halloween and not this year.
I have a brother that has had 80 surgeries and now still going to lose his leg....hope not. He has had many many skin grafts and they are bad. Good luck with your fammily and friends luck......Bill
Just remember that situations as bad as they seem, they could have always been worse. I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and at the time it may seem terrible, but when you take a step back and look at what transpired and what could have happened.......
I used to worry all the time when my Dad and I would be working together, long before cell phones, and I used to think, what would I do if he had a heart attack out in the middle of nowhere.
It never happened that way, My Dad ended up with Cancer, long battle, and as bad as that was, I was able to ask him questions about his childhood, his parents, ETC. We talked for hours and hours, and you know it was kind of the same as the heart attack that I worried about, as I was holding his hand when he took his last breath.
My Dad also died from Cancer he had pancreas cancer and suffered for over a year.He was in so much pain and on morphine that he was in a fog. Also he married a women who didn't like the fact that he had a life before they met.So if you went to visit she made it hell on him!!He's been gone for 20yrs. now. I did get to enjoy talking, riding around on motorcycles with him and working on Fords with him.
Mom also died in 2003 of pancreatic cancer....and I was in Florida with Dad and my 1 sister to take care of her......it was a bad time.
Bigwin.......sounds like you should do some genealogy on all the info from your Dad,and go backwards.....kids might not get into now......but they will one day want to know.
I have my family back to 1200s AD and my wife to 1600.
That is how we met DOLLY PARTIN and my wifes cousin.......Bill
