Dead Battery(s)
Went to start my 2002 F350 and batteries didn't have the juice to crank her over. The batteries both MC 850 CCA are 42 months old, just out of full replacment warranty by 6 months. I guess I am partly to blame because for about a week now, I noticed only after the truck sat over night the starter seemed to drag some what, when starting. Service adviser advised he would have to do a (4) hour test on the batteries required by Ford so the dealership would be covered. I asked why not the standard load test and I would pay the difference if the batteries were the cause. He stood firm and said Ford required a (4) hour cyclying test to satisfy them. The volt gauge shows 13-14 volts when the engine is running so I know the alt is charging. There is a place near me Battery Warehouse, they have 1000 CCA batteries there, thinking about giving them a shot. I guess I shold try to jump the driver side battery to start the truck?
Thanks

Thanks for your offer, I live in Maryland. I had both batteries load tested and the passenger battery was bad. I didn't expect them (MC 875 CCA) to go bad after 42 months of purchase. I end up getting (2) new batteries from Battery Warehouse in my neck of the woods. The batteries are made by Exide Battery Company.
Thanks again
