How many miles do you guys put on your powerstrokes until you change the oil in them?
I have the 6.0L, I was going to change it around 5,000 miles, but my odometer is off alittle due to 37" Tires so it will prob be alittle more than 5,000
Not a ps but I found that it is easy to keep track by changing at 0 and 5 intervals; 120k, 125k, 130k 135k, etc. Been doing that for many years and no need to write anything down.

Great Idea. Sometimes the best ideas are the simplest.
LOL...the owners manual says 7.500 but most of the other 6.0 owners I know change theirs at 5,000, me included. Like Brent said...it's easy to keep track of oil changes using the 5K figure!
I know that's what the manual says for Severe Service...but I'd rather not have to change an engine!
I tow a trailer that weighs 2600lbs. and various weights of cars from 3500lbs to 6500lbs on it. I bought the trailer just to haul my 69 Camaro to shows and such long distances but, have ended up making quite a bit of extra cash towing cars for people. Since I use it a lot for towing, I change the oil and filter at 5000 miles, the fuel filter at 10000 miles, and a complete tranny fluid change with filter every year. I also change the rear axle fluid yearly. It sounds expensive, but it is still cheaper than replacing the tranny, or rebuilding the axle, or rebuilding the motor. It is better to be safe than sorry. I have heard of people going longer like the manual says and even longer, but they usually drive it as a daily driver and nothing towed except a lawn trailer or bass boat occasionally.
I try for 5000 miles, but it sometimes goes to 6000. I do oil analysis with every change and can see a drop in TBN # when it starts getting up to the 6000 mark. So for me and my 05 6 liter, 5000 miles is what it likes with my regular Dino 15W40 Diesel oil.
