Rear end

Can anyone tell me what H9 means for the axle code on the door sticker. Vehicle is a '93 Bronco.

My 1990 Service Manual has an H9 as a 3800# capacity 3.55 ratio, congratulations.

H9 is also a limited slip differential.

If you change the rear end grease be sure to add friction modifier.

Mike, Just another confirmation . According to www.drivetrain .com an H9 code is a 3.55 Limited Slip Differntial.
