installing audio amp in my psd which battery can i connect to?would be playing system with truck off dont want drain battery any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
You can hook it to either battery. If you are going to run it with the truck off for long periods of time you better replace the batteries to a deep cycle though. There is no way to not kill the batteries without the truck running. Good luck,

Just like Sarge said, it's your choice which battery you hook the audio system to.
I hooked my system to the driver side battery - because that side is where I could pull the cables through the firewall, and tried to have the shortest cable as possible.
I have 3 amps (each over 1000W ), 2 capacitors 3 digital crossovers, and I wouldn't even try to turn the system on without the engine running. It drains the battery/batteries in a surprisingly short time.
Don't forget, you need the voltage to "wake" up the PCM and FICM, so play with it wisely.
