Digital control retrofit?
Hi Guys, I recently purchased an 07 F-150 XL. I had noticed that alot of the guys at work with XLT,s have the digital climate control.Mine is the standard manual one.
The control in the 07 is not mechanical,and Ive looked at the connectors behind the OEM control,and there are two additional harness plugs connected to plastic "dummy" connectors on the plastic bezel.
I found a digital control on ebay for cheap and bought it.Ive been advised that there is a temp sensor mounted behind the dash panel lower right of the instrument cluster that controls the interior temp.I have found an "ambient temperature sensor" on rockauto.com that looks like its the interior sensor.
My question here is....has anyone successfully upgraded their XL to the newer control assembly,and if so what else will be required to make it work correctly.
I have not attempted to install the ebay unit as of yet,because im not sure the temp sensor mentioned above is the correct part...Suggestions welcome!
