aligning the front clip

aligning the front clip

my front clip specificly the fenders dont line up at the door, what all is needed to adjust them? im assuming some shims. is there any trick to make it easy?

My guess is the body mount bushings are shot.

Wider at the top, radiator support bushings.
Wider at the bottom, front cab mount bushings.

Rear cab mount bushings seem to last longer, but they could be entering into the equation.

Also your frame mounts may need replaced.
I have replaced both of the mounts under the radiator support and the passenger side front cab mount support.

my gap is on the bottom, i think it was from when the p/o did the engine replacement. i went out and tweeked them a bit and they are a little better, i just want to get it all lined up before i get it painted. its not too bad just had to shim it a bit. i will look at the body mounts in a sec , you might be on to something.
