tire help
did some research on tires and still have no clue on whats good and not. looking for 285 tires that will go on a 16'' rim. its for a 1999 f250 7.3 ext. cab. i do some towing and need something that will do good in the snow and some dirt. any help would be great. also on a budget

How much research did you do? I waffled back and forth between several tires but ended up going with the Nitto Terra Grappler in 285/75/17 (~34") for my 07 F250. I still prefer the look of the BFG AT tread, but the Nitto's have been getting great reviews, it's available in the size I wanted, it was reasonably priced, and it's still load range E, as compared to the BFG AT. There are a number of good tires out there, but for me I decided the Terra Grappler in 285/75 was for me. They're supposed to show up at my local Discount Tire store on Tuesday or Wednesday, so we'll see.
