Well on Thursday I bought a flatdeck trailer. 16 ft car hauler. With Dove tails. I got a $5000 trailer for $3200. Clear out of some old units they have. I just compared a price from a dealer in P.A. who was selling a similar trailer w/o dovetails for 2900. Flaman would not come below 4000 and northtown came down to 3800. Fast toys would not budge. SKL gave me the best deal.
I pick it up tomorrow.
To make it better. I stopped in at Priness Auot and got me a 10,000 lb winch for 200 off the reg. price. They were also having a sale on these and they were going fast. I got the 3rd last one. So I will be mounting this on the trailer. My shoulder does not take the hand balming vehicle very good anymore with this arthritis.
Now next year I have to get my 78 running to pull this beast.
That sounds like a great deal, I have been looking at trailers also but haven't found the one I llike for the price i want to pay. That winch will be awsome. I was in PA yesterday and just about everything was on sale for at least 25% off and all I bought was a package of snap rings.
Got the winch for 499.00 Regular 699.00 I been wanting a new flatdeck for years. My old 12footer was 30 years old. from 1979. It needs TLC, but if I get at it with a new deck, wiring and fix the brakes and paint she would still last a numbe rof years. But is too small for what I want.
good score Glen... i just made a deal on a new trailer also... a 6x12 v-nose enclosed cargo trailer for work... getting sick of jumping in and out of the truck getting tools, and the box is starting to get crowded!!
Nice sounding deal, how much is the trailior rated for? Even if it isn't rated for 10G it is still nice to be overkill and have a lil extra pulling power in a winch good pickup on that too.
If I remeber right me and dad each paid 3500 for our trailior, 7000 in total. (from North Battleford dealer)
Axle rating of 7000 lbs. I just seen too many guys come and load rolling cars with 2000 lb winches and they fail. I wanted a strong enough winch that can even pull non rolling cars onto the trailer.
I would use skids to load on or rollers from old wringer washer machines.
