when i would start my truck it felt like it was going to stall. there was a time or two when it did stall. now i figured something out. if i start when engine is cold there is no issue-but if i took it for a spin somewhere and the engine was warm it would do this stalling thing. so bottom line is that it only does it when ive used the truck and went to restart it!
(once i get the truck in motion i have no problems at all - its just when i start it warm>
is thi an easy fix and what are some of things to watch out for!
First check the thin set nut of the IPR to ensure its not loose. Then if its not loose then start the break down. Here is some directions and a parts link.
Where is Tim or Jim when you need them. LOL If you are looking directly down over the top of the fuel bowl.... look just to the right of it under the FPR. You'll see a two wire connector with a wire clip. That's the solinoid that rides on the IPR. At the end, you'll see a Tin nut. Take the wire clip connector loose, and losen the tin nut. Remove it and the solinoid. That will leave the IPR in the HPOP. If you remove it, oil will ooze out. Normally I'll drain the HPOP reservoir. But you don't have too. Just have lots of rags handy.
Remember, on the IPR there are 3 orings
One large one by the big 1 1/8 nut
Two on the tip.
The one on the very tip is a square oring and has a slit in it. So don't be alarmed, it's just a cusion oring for the regular one.

Just had mine out and the square cut o ring was in between the 2 orings just next to the small one. Should it have been on the very end where the small oring was?

Here is the IPR naked with the o-rings, seems that you are right.
