what size injectors?

Hey guys my 03 7.3 dually just lost a injector (after 140,000 miles). What injectors do ya'll recomend? Its a daily driver that does pull a trailer, stock exhaust minus the muffler, bully dog 6 postion chip, and stock turbo. I will go with a bigger turbo when it goes out but its still good. single shot or split shot? what size? i tryed to read up on them and yall started talking about hybrids and 38r and van turbos and he2 and confused the **** out of me! haha

If you go single shot, the Bully Dog chip will have to be reburned and I'm not sure whether they do programming for singles in a split truck. Being that your '03 has the inherently weaker connecting rods, stay with stock injectors because anything larger can cause issues...not only due to more fuel in less time but because tuning for them has always been a marginally hit-or-miss proposition.

If you want to go with a bigger turbo then you can go with quite a bit bigger injectors. I wouldn't go above 180 or 200 though. The turbo will have to be a pretty big one like an H2e modified turbo. That should keep it cool enough to tow. I run 180's and modded H2e and it pulls my 36' 5er w/ 3slides just fine. I would also suggest getting rid of the Bully Dog and getting a chip from DP, PHP or TW. They will have the best tunes for your truck and can keep it cooler also.
Your choice if you want split or single shot injectors just tell whoever you get the chip from what you are doing so they can program it for you particular injectors.

If you plan on keeping the stock turbo till it goes out and you get stage II's be prepared to get the turbo pretty soon. Stock turbos' don't hold well with stage II's.

You may want to stay with stage I's if you wan to keep your stock turb for awhile. Then If you get split shots your Bull dog will still work but I would still recommend replacing it with one of the 3 chip providers I listed above.

Stage two's are a waste of time, money, oil volume, and most importantly, powdered metal connecting rods. Go with 200cc hybrids with a small (30% over) nozzle. You can tune it to run less than stock, or just like your stock truck, or you could crank it up to 400hp when you have the trailer unhooked and still be safe. No need to modify your fuel system, oil pump, or even turbo if you didnt want to use the higher programs alot. How can you go wrong?

speaking of injectors

so not meaning to hijack the thread, but anyone know what a set of AC code injectors specs are? I am making a butt-load of power and wondered what i could get with a set of HYBRIDS over what mine are. If i need to get you the part numbers for them I can.

I did have the 146/175 singles from swamps for 8 months with the stock turbo and a DP tuner tunned for them and it ran really good. But watch your boost on the stock turbo if you run the high tunes. You will need to upgrade the turbo soon so just go ahead and get hybrids, turbo and be set for a little while just my .02 because I have been there.

What he said. That is what I am running and could not be happier. They can be tame or outrageous. Tuning does it all. I have no issues with lack of ICP or EGTs. Of course I have a 38R with the 1.15 housing and no WG or EBV.

I like your setup that should get most trucks to around 400hp
