I have an '07 F-350 6.0 L Power Stroke King Ranch with 60K miles and I pull a 16,000lb fifth wheel. I bought the vehicle used at 49K miles. Periodically when pulling up hill at between 3000-3200rpm at 55mph a high pitch noise progressively increases. (Sounds like a kettle whistle). Power is good, turbo is in range, all gauges are good. Sound goes away instantly when I let off the throttle. This also appeared once in Tow-Haul going down hill in cruise and engine accelerated rapidly above 3000rpm. The sound does not always happen. Two independent Ford diesel mechanics have no idea. The truck just went through 60K checkup with flying colors.
The sound you are hearing is probably pressure venting out of the cap of the reservoir. Problem could be as simple as a bad cap venting out at the wrong pressure and as bad as headgaskets. Get it in to the dealership before the warranty is gone and have the diesel tech followed the Ford tsb related to coolant loss, cap venting, etc.
I have the same problem. Unfortunately I am now out of warranty. Ford could not find where the noise was coming from and now it is on my dime. I had the noise but not puking. I guess the cap got worse and fluid started coming out. I replaced the cap and it got better but not gone. I guess I will have to bite the bullet and take it in. Hoping it is not the head gaskets.
sometimes when the up pipes develop a fracture in the stainless steel 'flex' connection they will emit a high pitch whistle and of course the radiator cap will that too but it's real weak sounding and not tied to the throttle per se, besides it'll be a pukin'.
Now on the other hand, I've heard of guys who had a crack in the intercooler boot do the same thing so you might want to check that out too. A small mirror and a flashlight are helpful to see behind it.
Print them out. Take them to your dealer. When he figures out the problem, come back and let the rest of us know since none of our Ford dealers are smart enough to figure it out either.
Read your two links. Sounds like the same thing I have. No reduction in power though and lots of peddle on the hills pulling 15-16K fifth wheel. I'll work with my Ford guy, but they're scratching their heads.

So is everyone else. It's not the fan clutch - they replaced mine with no change. One guy said he put on a Goodyear Gator or Gatorback fanbelt and solved the problem.
I may have an alternator or regulator problem with my truck right now and if they have to replace the alternator, I intend to have them replace the belt with the Goodyear belt at the same time. Unfortunately, I probably won't be towing in the mountains until next spring or summer, so I won't know if it fixes it or not. Mine only has the problem in temps over 85 degrees and pulling long grades with the 19K trailer.
