another E4oD problem
A buddy of mine was using my truck(95 dually) yesterday he was towing a skid steer about 10k lbs. When he lost all forward gears truck has reverse ,but it does'nt even try to move forward. The tranny temp was normal and their were no signs that the tranny was on its way out. Could it be something electronic or is it the end of the road for my E4oD

RAB Sensor... on top of the rear diff, pull it out and clean it off with a clean rag or try a new one. Also the range selector on the driver side of the transmission could have gone out.

It isn't a sensor. There is NO sensor that will make the trans lose forward gears. The only way it can lose forward gears is when something mechanical in the trans breaks. This trans is coming out and getting rebuilt or replaced.
