another 6.0 question/ potential problem
Ok I have an 07 6.0 (truck in sig). It is 100% BONE stock, never been touched, tuned, or otherwise molested. It has 56,000 on it, and never had a single problem of any kind with it. I work it pretty hard, plowing in winter, almost always loaded or towing heavy all year. About a month ago, it started blowing black smoke under hard acceleration... not like locomotive causing an eclipse black, but enough I noticed it in the mirror. I thought that was cool and all, but figured there was something wrong, so i was gonna ask about it next time its in for service. Today, one of the idiot lights came on... book says its some emissions control system light or something. Truck still starts and runs perfect, but I noticed I couldn't get to make more than 20 lbs of boost coming home tonight, although I was unloaded. But I'm pretty sure it'd max out at 28 lbs before this idiot light came on. Truck goes in next Friday... unless it craps out sooner. Any thoughts on what I'm looking at? Thanks!!
