dumb question
i have a 79 1/2 ton 4x4 i had some problems with my carb so i rebuilt it but now i have lost the back rap ( when u down shift and it pops out the exhaust) i know it crazy but i kinda miss it how do i get it back i set the carb up just like i had it before so im not sure exactly what causes it any ideas

Did you lean out the carb when you rebuilt it, that "cackle" and "popping" is caused by unburnt fuel igniting in the exhaust, under deceleration not much of the fuel is actually getting burned so it just hits the hot exhaust pipe and ignites making that noise.
