Help Please P2195

My wife in an attempt to help me with my busy schedule suprised me today by taking her Escape to Midas to have brakes done, since i have been too busy lately. Well as most stories go that involve taking a vehicle to midas it is in worse condition now then when she took it there. First the brake job was over 500 dollars to do the fronts only. more troubling is the fact that now the check ingine light is on and reading a code of P2195 which is aLack of heated oxygen sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1. i think they did something intentionally to her car so she would have to bring it back. How would i go about proving that? The CEL was NOT on ever with this car until they touched it today. Is there any chance this happened by accident? Something got disconnected or otherwise?

Actually I have a relative that had a DTC after a oil change and some sensor wasn't plugged in. The oil change place paid his entire dealer diagnostic bill!

O2 have a pigtail cord and hardly come apart easily! Just your exhaust system down looking for the O2s to check their condition.
