steering control problem

have a 2004 F 250 with crew cab; 5.4 gas engine; 4 wheel drive. Here is problem; If I make a hard right turn; it feels like you do not have total control of steering; it usually pulld slightly to right; but if you begin to go around a left urn in road; you will unexpectedly go left , as if you have no control on wheels; you will feel like both front wheels are loose; that is how bad the control is. All wheels are tight, wheel bearing are ok, all ball joints are tight, tie rod ends are good. Had ford tech check everything under front end; evrything is fine. He could not duplicate problem; it happens only ocasionally. Truck has 92,000 miles on it. New shocks, new steering damper.I am guessing steering box is allowing power steering fluid to "leak" around seals internally and causing problems. This is hard to explain in words and you would have to drive it while it is doing it to explain it. I was hoping someone here had the same problem and would be able to advise me on fix.

I am having the same issue. Mine feels liek it wanders when driving and when you try to correct it seems to over correct.

Definitely sounds like a leaky spool valve in the steering box.

If you jack both front wheels up off the ground and move the steering around with the engine running, do the front wheels have a mind of their own? If so, definitely the box.
