'08 F250 Security Questions
My '08 250 has been broken into in my driveway twice in the last two months. Both times have been the screwdriver into the keyhole method. I've got four questions for you guys on how to improve my susceptibility to this:
1.) What brand of alarm should I look into?
2.) Do the motion/tilt sensors work, and do you get a lot of false readings?
3.) What other alarm accessories do ya'll recommend?
4.) Does anyone out there swap out the driver side door handle for a rear handle (one without the keyhole)? Thoughts?
Thanks guys.

If you have the remote opener yeah you can switch out the handles. There is a product called a pop stopper or something like that it is basically a back plate they goes on inside of door. I have seen guys simply epoxy the key hole sand it down and paint it black.
I'm so glad I live someplace where this **** rarely happen

Yeah I think I need to look into the Ravelco product a little later. Right now my problem isn't that the truck is being taken, but I need to see if I can make it a little harder for them to gain entry. The problem is I know alarms don't really add a lot but I figure if swap the door handle to a rear one eliminating the keyhole, and put the JJammer in, that would eliminate that entry point. It would probably just cause them to break the window. Does anyone know if the tilt sensors work at all?

You need a GSD security system. I have two in my truck they have tilt, bump, proximity sensors, day and night mode, (on, off, low and high mode), audio, scent, and video monitoring, highly portable, also comes with offensive as well as defensive options.
I know that for buildings they have sensors that can tell when glass is broken anything like that for trucks? That way alarm would only go off if window was really broken or door was opened.

Seriously though, i have ZERO tolerance for this kind of crap.
I have a train horn setup i had in my jeep. I plan on hooking it up to the alarm. Physically painful within 30' of the truck, you can't use motion sensors though, the neighbors wouldn't appreciate it going off every time a cat jumps up on the hood. (neither would the cat...)
