Will this work?
I have a 1977 351,c-6 trans. I want to drill my gt-40 heads out to 1/2 in. I want to put a comp thumper cam in it . I have a edelbrock performer intake and a 1406 carb. Will I need to put a stall converter in it? Bob

What cam exactly? Comp 25-238-3 is about perforct for a GT40 351.. any more duration than this and the cam is a mismatch to the motor(pushes the powerband to an rpm beyond the engine's airflow peak, so it will actually make less HP than it would with less duration). You won't need a converter because of the heads they're the smallest that should even be considered for a 351.
