The 52 is here
Well it's here. Ignore the tires and wood the brakes are out. It has the 4.27
rear and a cheesy metal package tray behind the seat. The first thing I pitched 
.. wipers are electric? The radio and heater do not appear to work. The headliner looks original but is as thin as the paint on it 
I need one more matching hubcap.
A few questions for the knowledgeable:
What color is "D" and what does the production code tell me? "4-M CS-90-P"
What does the "T" **** behind the steering wheel do?
How did I do?

Of course the rose colored glasses are now of I really need to work on some of the wiring. I looks like PO was running neg. ground I don;t remember what was original so that may be why the heater and radio are out??? Battery cables on it are original and nearly all exposed.
The only rust I can see is a the very lower back edge of the pass door and the inner pillar below the hinges on the same side. It really needs a tune up wire/plugs cap ect.. let the spending d begin.
Plans right now for right now:
Brakes hoses
fix cables and misc wires.
tires good size?

Nice truck.A little earlier than a 53.I love the interior,as least it appears orginal,steering wheel ,dash, etc.As I have been told 12 volt pos. grd. Your wiring sounds like mind,frayed and no insulation.Good luck it just gets better as you fix the "little things"

Thanks all. It's still running 6v. and it's charging that way.
OK, OK I spent 15mins putting up a post and I messed up the topic thread.. I tried to change it no luck..... it's not a 53 it's a 52.

It is a 52. Was this cheesy metal package tray sitting on top of the gas tank? If so, that's the original "tool" tray/holder. You can resell it on eBay. Most of them are missing through the years of use.
