Towing with a Superchips tuner
Will it be ok to tow about 8000# with a Superchips max tuner on safe tow without an egt gauge?It will be about a 12 ride round trip.
I have a 6637 airfilter, a downpipe and 4" exhaust with a gutted kitty.
Or should I tow without it????

As long as you arent towing over any real shils you should be fine for that trip, but Iget rid of the superchips and get custome from one the big 3 around here, much better quality, and much better power.

You will be fine. If you do have any long or steep hills don't bog the truck down too much, your EGT's will climb fast. If you've got a 5 spd drop a gear and keep going, or back out and take your time. Gauges will definately be a good idea, I know they changed my driving (towing) style

you'll be fine. I did quite a bit of towing with the superchips programmer in the past. Like what 79_250RangerLariat said, don't bog it down. downshift and your egts will stay in check.
