Do I need a e4od core?

Had tranny rebuilt, lasted 2 days, now the tranny guy says I need a new core? Good news is my fatherinlaw owns the shop, but brings in a tranny guy to do rebuilds, still only cost me parts. Is my core this bad? does this sound normal, he says its been rebuilt to many times?
