79 ford problems

i have a 79 ford f-250 2x4 460 auto, when it is cold it will kind of knock or clang does any body know what this could be? i thought it may be the lifters but its kind of loud.

Does it eventually go away as you warm up? or persist?

it will go away pretty soon if i let it idle or if i give it gas it will stop
