1987 f150 MAF Coversion Problem--Help

Hi,i found a Ford Motor Sport MAF Conversion on Ebay and Won it for $235...Got it in today and installed it..Truck runs Pretty good but i am wondering about the Timing Spout..The kit was used and included was a used timing spout..It is a gray square one as opposed to the stock Black different looking one..Only problem is that the spout that came with it has bad Blades inside it..Should i order one from Ford..The spout that the person sent me was not part of the kit when it was new.I know this because included was the original instructions which had a content list and there was not one listed..What to do?..Oh yea the spout he sent me is damaged.(missing Blades)..The truck is a 1987 f150 5.0l with AOD..The MAF kit number is a.... M-9000-T51...Any help is appreciated..Also i tried to configure my scanner to communicate with the new ecm and i get "vehicle not responding"..Does anybody know what year and vin letter to use on the scanner to communicate with the ECM in this kit?..I have used from 87 to 95 with vin letter N and 88 to 93 vin letter E for a mustang..Help

Does the stock black one fit into the socket and make the connection? If so that is all that matters, the jumper is just that, jumps/makes the connection between the two wires completing the circuit.

As far as how to set your scanner I have no idea, refer to the manual for it maybe?

It should be a mustang (89-93) computer if it is the same as what originally came with the kit.

The spout plug is not part of the kit and you don't need it, use your stock plug. With a timing light connected you should see the timing advance when the plug is inserted, if not the plug is no good.. throw it away and get another.
