yeah i read some posts on the garage about this tune. i'm pretty sure they say it doesn't mess anything up, but that truck is their shop truck with big sticks i think which makes the lope even more pronounced. pretty sweet tune though. have you heard the 585 lope tune RCD makes for the 6.4's? it's bad a**!

It can easily be done on a 6.0 with the right programming, but who cares????

I think it sounds kinda cool, not that I'd do that to my truck. Different, for sure. My stacks were less than $500 for the kit plus the stacks, but I already had the 4"dp. I'd imagine a single would be cheaper.

I'm pretty sure all it takes in a tune is a low idle speed with too much fuel commanded, then it keeps cutting cylinders out to keep the idle speed down.

Spartan will not do a lope tune. Says it will kill the motor over time.

I wonder what the egt's would be like with that tune at idle...i would assume extremely low...maybe a wet stacking problem? Is that why spartan wont do it?

I wonder what it sounds like when you actually drive it. I'd "assume" it would drive normally? Sounds like a Johnny Popper at idle

Yeah its normal when you drive it, they are just commanding more fuel than is necessary for the low idle setting so it cuts out to maintain RPMs. Theirs is magnified because they have HUGE injectors in that truck. As soon as you start moving the fuel command isn't too high anymore and it runs normal.
