It seems that when I was parked at a golf course a golf ball came down on my roof and left a nice dent. Has anybody ever taken down the head liner before? I have a paintless dent friend who will fix it but I thought it would be easier if I pulled down the head liner. Area is passenger rear corner. Thx 2008 F-150 Supercrew
Cant say about the newer trucks, but the ole 97 was pretty much a snap.Pulled the trim, and overhead light. There were a few clips retaining it over the doors, but it popped right out.Unless its hanging(Fabric separated from the cardboard form) it should be a snap to pull and put back in.cant believe the newer ones would be much different....
Would anybody know if it is possible to have access between the roof and headliner though the brake/bed light? I am thinking that the paintless dent guy could go though there to repair a dent in the roof. Its right near it. Anybody ever have the fixture out? Trying to avoid taking the headliner down.
Just my 2 cents, I don't mean to sound like a smart a$$ but Your friend should probably know how to remove the headliner to wear he can get the dents out. Several years ago there was a bad hail storm where my ranger I had at the time, my dads 150 and moms expedition had dents in the rooves and all over and the dent man knew how to remove the headliner to fix the dents. Another dent man removed a couple of dents from the roof of an f-150 my brother bought this past Christmas and he knew what he was doing as well. I imagine your friend would know what hes doing too, so I'd leave it to the pros.
