Considering what i have already saved hanging out here, figured it was time as well. 70 bucks for a code reader and 20 bucks for all the knowledge here to interpret it is a heck of a deal compared to one trip to the local dealer.
hopefully I can make it over to OR and meet up with everyone come June.
Tom
Congrats Tom. By the way this place just saved me at least $150 for what a mechanic would have charged me, probably more. Just greased my slip joint and the clunking noise I was hearing is gone. Thanks guys for the help.
So what's next Jody? We've got several folks in the AZ area that you might be able to meet up with for advice, pointers, or possibly even a free scan to see if there are any things to look at.
I'm guessing a DP is in your future? Gauges are a good first step. A shift kit is another good thing. A wicked wheel or ported housing will come after the chip.
If you think you have PMS now, meet up with someone in AZ that has a DP and take their truck for a test drive. It's almost the same thing as switching from a bicycle to a corvette. Of course I need to warn you that if you take that test drive, you will not be able to wait until you get a DP chip of your own, so proceed with caution.
Well let's see. I just put the 6637 in with the CCV of course. Next is the 4" exhaust. Then I am looking at gauges. Then DP program if I can afford it. In the mean time I am keeping an eye out for a 6.0 intercooler and transmission cooler. If anyone sees a good deal let me know please. Then after the DP I will probably start saving for BTS tranny, I think. LOL Any other advice.
Congrats on the new badge Jody! It feels pretty good doesn't it? I sure have gone well beyond getting my money's worth on this forum. It's really nice to know you're being steered in the right direction as far as issues and mods. I too have the 'disease'. Clay just shipped my gauge pod, Isspros, AIH delet plug, and Fumoto valve. Can't wait to get those in! Just a step away from going to the dark side.

Looks like your disease is progressing nicely... Welcome!
