I sometimes have a problem with the auto memory seat, it doesn't always go to its proper position. Sometimes when I remove the key the seat will not move back but it wil move forward upon insertion of the key, not much fun. It acts quirky in other ways as well. Anyone else?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-Nov-02 AT 12:39 PM (EST)]This is what I figured out about the convenience seat (not sure if it is always true).
If you have the seat convenience feature ON then when you insert the key in the ignition...let the seat travel to it's preset position BEFORE you start the Expy. I found that if I started the Expy before the seat found it's memory position then it would just stop in its track and would require pressing the memory (1 or 2) button.
I started another thread about the memory side mirrors and not always returning to its original position after tilting down for reverse.
Not sure why your seat wont go back when the key is removed and the convenience feature is ON.
I have noticed this is quirky too. I know I have to be in Park for the seat to move to its preset position. If I forget to do this until I get rolling, I have to stop, Park, and hit the preset memory button. I also had some quirky things going on with the mirrors in Reverse. I quit using, and turned off, this feature however since I back into my garage. When I turn the car off to get out, the seat does always go back to the exit position--doesn't seem to be a problem there.
