My wife drive a 2002 Excursion. It is all stock and we have had it for 3 years. I want to fix it up some for her and put new tires, rims, lift the front, exhuast and on and on...... I have seen alot of of info for 4wd leaf swaps but my 2wd has coil springs. Has anyone done any junk yard swaps on these? I was looking at my 4x4 2005 F250 and thik the Springs on it will work and give it some lift at the same time. I would like to lift the front about 2" any way. Both are diesels. So questions:
1. Will 2005 F250 4x4 front coils fit?
2. Will it lift it any?
3. Any other upgrades on the ront coils to something heavier than stock?
4. If I lift the front with coils 2" what else should I be worried about..aligment etc.
One thing I have considered but it would be alot of work is building a dead front Dana 60 kingpin axle and going back to leafs but this would be alot of work I really do not want to do on her truck.
